So, the hackers at CHDK have outdone themselves. I added the motion detection program to my canon 870 point and shoot. Put a ladder next to our bird/squirrel/rodent attraction device. Turned the camera on an walked away. Came back and hour or two later and had a lot of cool shots of two squirrels jocking for position at the feeder. Why doesn't Canon add these kinds of features to thier cameras by default?!

So, the hackers at CHDK have outdone themselves. I added the motion detection program to my canon 870 point and shoot. Put a ladder next to our bird/squirrel/rodent attraction device. Turned the camera on an walked away. Came back and hour or two later and had a lot of cool shots of two squirrels jocking for position at the feeder. Why doesn't Canon add these kinds of features to thier cameras by default?!
